Eros
Greek mythology holds such a dear place in my heart. One of my favorite stories is that of Eros and Psyche so this piece in particular makes my heart sing. I chose to create a body for eros that had both masculine and feminine traits. Love and sex are conceptually so filled with variety and often and larger than life- why not the god as well? The monochromatic pallet remind sme of museum sculptures but of course I could not resist a pop of red. Their story is (as many mythological tales tend to be) quite chaotic but it is important that we remember rest. Even gods rest, sometimes. This is Eros in Slumber. - Liz
